Analysis of the application values of different combination schemes of liquid-based cytology and high-risk human papilloma virus test in the screening of high-grade cervical lesions BJMBR
Wang,Jian.
The aim of this study was to explore the value of different combination schemes of liquid-based cytology (LBC) and high-risk human papilloma virus (HPV) test in the screening of high-grade (≥CIN 2) cervical lesions. From 5727 women who had undergone examinations with LBC and high-risk HPV test, 1884 patients with positive results of either or both LBC and HPV test were included in this study and underwent cervical biopsy. Based on the pathological examination results, comparisons of the assessment indicators of all diagnostic tests were made, and the application values of LBC and high-risk HPV test and different combination schemes of the two in the screening of high-grade (≥CIN II) cervical lesions were estimated. Compared with the single test method, the...

Enhancement of botrallin and TMC-264 production in liquid culture of endophytic fungus Hyalodendriella sp. Ponipodef12 after treatments with metal ions Electron. J. Biotechnol.
Luo,Haiyu; Xu,Dan; Xie,Rushan; Zhang,Xuping; Wang,Jian; Xuejiao,Dong; Lai,Daowan; Zhou,Ligang; Liu,Yang.
Background: Hyalodendriella sp. Ponipodef12, an endophytic fungus from a poplar hybrid, was a high producer of botrallin and TMC-264 with various bioactivities. In this study, the influences of eight metal ions (i.e.,Mn2+,Na+, Mg2+,Zn2+,Cu2+,Fe2+,Fe3+ and Al3+) on botrallin and TMC-264 production in liquid culture of the endophytic fungus Hyalodendriella sp. Ponipodef12 were investigated. Results: Three most effective metal ions (Zn2+,Cu2+ and Mg2+) along with their optimum concentrations were screened. The optimum addition time and concentrations of Zn2+,Cu2+ and Mg2+ were further obtained respectively for improving botrallin and TMC-264 production. The combination effects of Zn2+,Cu2+ and Mg2+ on the production of botrallin and TMC-264 by employing...

Gene expression profiling reveals upregulated FUT1 and MYBPC1 in children with pancreaticobiliary maljunction BJMBR
Guo,Wan-Liang; Geng,Jia; Zhao,Jun-gang; Fang,Fang; Huang,Shun-Gen; Wang,Jian.
Pancreaticobiliary maljunction (PBM) is associated with high risk of epithelial atypical growth and malignant transformation of the bile duct or gallbladder. However, overall changes in genetic expression have not been examined in children with PBM. Genome-wide expression was analyzed using peripheral blood samples from 10 children with PBM and 15 pediatric controls. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified using microarray. Bioinformatics analysis was conducted using Gene Ontology and KEGG analyses. The top 5 in the up-regulated genes in PBM were verified with qRT-PCR. Receiver operator characteristic curve analysis was conducted to evaluate the predictive accuracy of selected genes for PBM. The microarray experiments identified a total of...
